April arrives, when the red color of the national flag flutters brightly along the banks of the Hiền Lương – Bến Hải, it is also the time when millions of Vietnamese hearts turn towards the heroic land of Quảng Trị. The “Reunification of the Nation” festival in 2026 is not just a commemorative event, but a bridge connecting the glorious past with the bright future of the nation.

In the land that was once the dividing line between the two regions, today, the gathering loudspeakers replace the sounds of bombs and bullets from years ago. The festival is an opportunity for us to bow our heads in remembrance of the outstanding children who fell for independence and freedom, while affirming the strength of unity and the everlasting desire for peace. Special activities such as the solemn Flag Raising Ceremony, the boat race on the Bến Hải River... will once again revive the spirit of the historic April 30th, reminding today's generation to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors in building a richer and more beautiful country.
