Sơn La tourism continues to make its mark on the international map with two destinations nominated at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Asia region in 2026.

Accordingly, Moc Chau National Tourist Area is nominated in the category "Asia's Leading Nature Destination 2026." In addition, Ta Xua Tourist Area is nominated in the category "Asia's Leading Emerging Tourism Destination 2026."

This is recognition for the outstanding values of natural landscapes, cultural identity, and the efforts to develop sustainable tourism in Sơn La. Among them, Moc Chau is famous for its cool climate, tea hills, flower seasons, and many natural attractions, while Ta Xua is known as the "cloud hunting paradise" with its majestic mountain scenery and attractive trekking routes.

The nomination of both destinations at the World Travel Awards 2026 not only contributes to promoting the image of Sơn La but also affirms the growing appeal of Vietnamese tourism on the Asian tourism map.
