There are very simple things in life that contain immense values. For me, rice grains are one such thing.
Rice is not only the food that nourishes generations of Vietnamese people but is also closely tied to cherished memories of home, of golden rice fields, and warm family meals.
Perhaps because of that love, I have come to the art of rice painting.
Each painting is created from thousands of tiny rice grains, selected, roasted, and arranged entirely by hand. This work requires a lot of patience and meticulousness, but it also brings a special joy as each image gradually emerges from the familiar rice grains.
What makes me love rice paintings is not only the beauty of the finished product but also the feeling of preserving traditional values in a very unique way. Each piece carries a story, a memory, and a part of the image of Vietnam.
When I see customers smile, when I hear them share that the painting reminds them of home or past memories, I understand that rice paintings are not just a simple handmade product.
It is where the rice grains tell the story of home, of people, and of the beautiful values that we always want to preserve.
