HOÀNH SƠN QUAN – HISTORICAL MARK BETWEEN DEO NGANG PEAK
Amidst the majestic mountains of Deo Ngang, there still stands a structure that bears the mark of time – Hoành Sơn Quan, also known by the familiar name "Heaven's Gate".
Built by Emperor Minh Mạng in 1833, Hoành Sơn Quan was once an important checkpoint on the North-South road. To cross the peak of the pass in the past, locals had to follow thousands of stone steps carved solidly amidst the dense mountains and forests.
Today, this place is not only a unique historical relic but also an ideal stop for visitors to admire the spectacular beauty of Deo Ngang.
