The road to Chênh Vênh: A journey of emotions

- Many people are hesitant to travel far, but trust me, the route from Đông Hà heading up towards Khe Sanh (National Route 9) is one of the most valuable experiences. You will pass through historical relics, feeling the cool air gradually as you reach the "Da Lat of Quang Tri".

- At the intersection of the Khe Sanh Victory Monument, instead of turning into the urban area, take the Ho Chi Minh West branch towards Huong Phung commune. Passing through the lush green coffee fields of the Van Kieu people, through Huong Phung market about 2km right at the foot of Sa Mu pass, the Chênh Vênh waterfall lies there – quietly and humbly as if waiting for an old friend to return.

Not just seeing, but touching and feeling

- Don’t expect concrete steps or smooth paved paths. To touch the waterfall, you really have to "get involved". The small trail leads you through the forest canopy, where the sound of the stream begins to seep into your ears, drowning out all the chaotic thoughts in your head.

- The beauty of Chênh Vênh is the giant boulders scattered artistically. You can choose to "drift" a bit by climbing over the large boulder blocking the stream, or leisurely follow the rocky slope along the shore. The reward after a few minutes of movement is a jade green lake appearing at the foot of the nearly 20-meter high waterfall. The water here is so cold that just dipping your feet in makes all the fatigue of the long journey seem to vanish immediately.
