One of the most attractive features of Ngườm Ngao Cave is the inverted lotus flower. Legend has it that, long ago, there was a Buddha sitting on the lotus flower meditating for so long without achieving enlightenment. Out of boredom and discouragement, he turned the lotus flower upside down, while he transformed into a stone pillar standing beside it. And from then on, it is said that if someone catches the drops of water falling from the Buddha's hand and rubs them on their face, that person will encounter much good fortune!
The formation of the inverted lotus flower is the result of a process where mineral-rich groundwater has been dripping continuously for thousands of years. Calcium gradually accumulated on the cave ceiling, layer by layer, forming the unique shape we see today. This shows the incredible patience of nature in creating perfect masterpieces.
