On the afternoon of March 28, 2026, in Lao Chải I village, Khun Há commune, Lai Châu province, the cake pounding contest of the Mong ethnic group took place. There were 13 teams participating from 13 villages of the commune, with a maximum contest duration of 120 minutes. For the Mong people, the cake is not only a familiar food but also holds a particularly important position in spiritual cultural life, especially during the Tet holiday and the arrival of spring.
