Then Pa! The village of wall houses under the flagpole of Lung Cu
Located about 26 km from Dong Van town, Then Pa still retains many long-standing traditional cultural features of the Mong ethnic people.
Arriving in Then Pa is a peaceful scene, deeply imbued with the traditions of the small village. The houses are all wall houses (earthen walls), with yin-yang tiled roofs. The locals wear traditional costumes daily for work and daily activities.
In the early morning, the village is shrouded in a misty fog. The residents are awakened by the sunlight and the crowing of roosters signaling a new day, not by the honking of busy traffic as in the city!
Then Pa possesses its own beauty in every season of the year. In spring, the pink of peach blossoms and the white of pear flowers cover the mountainsides, village paths, and the gardens of the locals with bright colors. Summer is the season of lush green cornfields, admiring the clear water of Dragon Eye Lake.
In autumn, the ripe rice terraces create a poetic golden landscape. Entering winter, the village is enveloped in fog in the early morning.
The slow, tranquil pace of life of the villagers is a simple way for visitors to slow down and enjoy the simple sounds of life.
