Suggested itinerary for exploring Cao Bằng 2N2Đ
Day 0: Hanoi - Cao Bằng City
9 PM: depart from Mỹ Đình to Cao Bằng City (Vĩnh Dung bus, Bảo Yến bus,...)
Day 1:
4 AM: arrive at Cao Bằng City. Rest at homestay (Hồng Vân homestay, May Homestay,...)
6:30 AM: wake up for breakfast (rice rolls with bone broth, duck pho, sour pho), some places like Phở Thịnh, Phở Quyên…
7:30 AM: Go to Pác Bó tourist area (Ho Chi Minh memorial site, Kim Đồng tourist area, Lê Nin stream, Cốc Bó cave, Các Mác mountain,...)
11:30 AM: return to Mế Farmstay for lunch, Mế Farmstay has many beautiful photo spots and offers rental items for photography.
1 PM: Move to Mã Phục Pass, Thủng Mountain, Thang Hen Lake (these 3 points are close to each other)
3 PM: Go near Bản Giốc waterfall or Khuổi Ky ancient stone village to rest and have dinner. Weekend evenings in the ancient stone village often feature traditional singing and campfires, which are worth experiencing.
Day 2:
6:30 AM: wake up for breakfast. After that, go to Bản Giốc waterfall and Ngườm Ngao cave.
11:30 AM: Return to homestay for lunch
1 PM: Pack up, go to Ba Quáng burnt grass hill; it takes a 15-minute walk to reach the hill, but there are many chill spots on the hill. It's definitely worth the effort to climb.
4:30 PM: Return to Cao Bằng City, take a shower, have dinner.
9 PM-4 AM (the next day): Return to Hanoi, end of the trip.
