Old houses, Hue street.

Recently, I went to Hue for a few days of beautiful weather “just right”: not too hot, just cool and clear. I leisurely walked along Bach Dang street, following the Dong Ba river, admiring the old houses nestled along the street.

Houses in Hue have a very unique charm. They are not just one style, but rather a “collection” of time: some have traditional tiled roofs with a mossy color, some have a modern touch, but strangely, no matter the style, they still exude a Hue essence: gentle, soothing, discreet.

Looking at the windows, the eaves, the old walls… one naturally feels that Hue is not just found in the tombs or temples. Hue is also in the houses, in the peaceful riverside life, in how this city preserves its beauty through each period of time.

Old houses, Hue street — just a round trip and the heart feels calm again.
