KIM LONG WINE – ONE OF THE "FOUR GREAT FAMOUS WINES" OF THE CENTRAL REGION

In the countryside of Hai Que, Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province, the Kim Long wine-making village has existed and developed for over 200 years, becoming an indispensable part of the cultural life of the local people. With a long history and secrets passed down from generation to generation, Kim Long wine is considered one of the famous "Four Great Famous Wines" of Central Vietnam.

The wine is made from various types of red rice and fragrant local sticky rice combined with natural leaf yeast, using the clean underground water of the locality. Through the process of traditional copper distillation and a wooden "lao" system, each drop of finished wine carries a strong aroma, a clear color, and a characteristic warm spicy aftertaste.

Not merely a beverage, Kim Long wine is also the crystallization of experience, skill, and pride of the local artisans. Over more than two centuries, these traditional values have been preserved, contributing to the distinctive features of the cultural landscape of Quang Tri land.
