Every year in the seventh lunar month, when returning to Tra Loc, Hai Lang (now Vinh Dinh commune, Quang Tri province), hearing three drum beats, everyone rushes to the temple.

Hundreds of people, with muddy hands and feet, laughed loudly in the middle of the turmeric-colored water.
People say that clearing the ponds is to receive blessings from heaven. But more than anything, it is an opportunity for the whole village to meet after the harvest, clean up the water source, and keep the stream clear for the next season.

For hundreds of years, this festival has been as bustling as ever.
The fish were caught and brought back, leaving behind smiles on the face, simple but joyful like a village New Year.

Hundreds of people, with muddy feet and hands, laugh joyfully in the golden waters stained with turmeric. People say that going to break the swamp is to collect the blessings of heaven. But more than that, it is an occasion for the whole village to gather after the harvest, to clean the water source together, and to keep the stream clear for the next season.

For hundreds of years, this festival has remained lively as ever. The fish caught are brought home, and the smiles left behind in the swamp are as joyful as a village festival.
