1. Historical Journey: From a Place of Worship to the First University
Built in 1070 during the Ly dynasty, the Temple of Literature was initially a place to worship Confucius and the sages.
Just 6 years later, the National University was established – becoming the center for high-level talent training for the court, gathering the most outstanding intellectuals from across the country.
This is not only a school but also a place that shapes the moral standards and thoughts for the elite class of Vietnam during the feudal period.

2. Architecture Reflecting Eastern Philosophy
The entire relic area is divided into 5 consecutive layers of space, symbolizing different levels of education and maturity.
The most special feature is the system of 82 doctoral steles, placed on the back of stone turtles – symbols of wisdom and longevity.
The space here is not only for sightseeing but also carries profound educational significance about the tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education.
