Hang Múa is located at the foot of Ngọa Long Mountain, part of the Tam Cốc – Ninh Bình tourist area. This is one of the prominent check-in spots thanks to the panoramic view from above, allowing visitors to fully admire the beauty of the plains and characteristic limestone mountains.

The distinctive feature of Hang Múa is nearly 500 stone steps leading to the mountain peak. From here, visitors can observe the entire Tam Cốc area with the winding Ngô Đồng River flowing through the rice fields.

The journey to conquer the mountain peak is physically demanding but offers a worthwhile experience with a vast and open view.

4. Ideal Time

Hang Múa can be visited year-round; however, each time brings a distinctly different experience. The ideal times are early morning (5:30 AM – 8:00 AM) or late afternoon (4:30 PM – 6:30 PM), when the light is soft, the temperature is not too high, and especially favorable for photography.

From May to June is the rice harvest season in Tam Cốc – the time when Hang Múa becomes a “golden viewing point” with the entire landscape below turning into a brilliant yellow. Meanwhile, autumn and winter provide a clear space, less rain, suitable for mountain climbing and distant sightseeing.

5. Local Cuisine

The area around Hang Múa has developed strong tourism services, so there are many dining options from casual to restaurants. The most notable are the specialties of Ninh Bình such as grilled mountain goat, lime beef, and crispy rice served with rich sauce.

Additionally, visitors can also experience coffee shops with mountain views, where they can enjoy drinks while admiring the entire natural landscape. Some homestays here even serve family meals, providing a more intimate and local experience.

6. Reference Costs

  • The entrance fee to Hang Múa is relatively reasonable and suitable for many types of tourists. The ticket price is about 100,000 VND/person, which includes visiting and taking photos.
  • The dining costs range from 100,000 – 300,000 VND/person depending on the restaurant choice. If additional services such as renting costumes for photos, drinks, or resting at homestays are used, the total cost can range from 300,000 – 700,000 VND/person for a complete experience.
