Hoa Lu is most beautiful in spring, especially from January to March of the lunar calendar when traditional festivals take place. This is an occasion to reenact ancient rituals, attracting a large number of tourists and local people.

Additionally, other times of the year are suitable for those who want to experience a peaceful atmosphere, conducive to learning about history and taking photos.

The Hoa Lu area has many restaurants serving Ninh Binh specialties such as mountain goat, crispy rice, and eel vermicelli. Additionally, small roadside eateries offer a close-knit culinary experience at reasonable prices.

  • Entrance tickets to the historical site range from 20,000 – 30,000 VND/person, suitable for all audiences. Dining costs about 100,000 – 300,000 VND/person.
  • If combined with visits to nearby sites such as Trang An or Tam Coc, the total cost for a day can range from 300,000 – 800,000 VND/person, depending on the itinerary.
