From the center of Tà Xùa commune, you head towards the Suối Sập 2 hydropower plant, then continue along the route to Dolphin Peak. From here, you only need to go about 1 km more to reach the Lonely Tree.

Since there are not many signposts leading to the area, if it's your first time in Tà Xùa, you should ask the homestay or local people to avoid getting lost.

Cars can also reach the site, but a skilled driver is required.

The best time to visit the Lonely Tree

If you want to hunt for clouds, you should come from October to April of the following year.

The best time is around 6:00–8:00 AM, when the first light of the day appears, and the sea of clouds still covers the valleys.

If you love the warm golden light, you can also visit around 5:00–5:30 PM to watch the sunset. The last rays of sunlight shining on the tree create a very emotional scene.

Besides the cloud hunting season, from June to October is the time when the mimosa flowers bloom beautifully around the area, providing a colorful check-in spot.

Tips for taking beautiful photos at the Lonely Tree

You shouldn't just stand close to the tree for photos.

A beautiful photo here often utilizes the entire surrounding space, making the tree a focal point amidst the vast mountains and forests.

Stand a distance away from the tree to create a sense of smallness in nature.
