1. Where is Dragon Bridge Da Nang and what is special about it?

Dragon Bridge is located on Nguyen Van Linh street, connecting from Da Nang International Airport to the eastern bank of the Han River, in Hai Chau district. This is the seventh bridge spanning the Han River and plays an important role in the city's traffic system.

Since its inauguration, Dragon Bridge has quickly become the representative image of Da Nang – a city facing the sea, looking towards the future, while still retaining the depth of traditional culture.

Dragon Bridge was started on July 19, 2009, and officially completed on March 29, 2013, right on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of Da Nang's liberation. This makes the project not only architecturally valuable but also holds profound spiritual significance for the local people.

Dragon Bridge is 666m long, 37.5m wide, consisting of 6 lanes for vehicles and 2 pedestrian walkways. The biggest highlight is the golden dragon winding along the bridge, designed based on the shape of the Ly dynasty dragon – a symbol of power, prosperity, and development.

4. Fire & water spraying schedule “Specialty” of Dragon Bridge

Dragon Bridge is most beautiful when night falls. Over 2,500 LED lights are lit, continuously changing colors, reflecting on the surface of the Han River, creating a shimmering, modern scene.

Especially, at fixed times, the “dragon” will perform fire and water spraying, becoming an unmissable rendezvous for tourists:

  • 9 PM on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Major holidays in Vietnam

Each performance consists of multiple consecutive fire sprays, followed by water sprays, enough to make both sides of the Han River lively and bustling.

5. Where is the best place to watch Dragon Bridge spray fire and water?

  • Directly on Dragon Bridge: the bridge will temporarily stop traffic during the performance
  • Bach Dang Street: a riverside pedestrian street, wide view and easy to take photos
